Hackers say it is frighteningly easy to make the government think you are dead

Posted on by

We live in Ohio. Unfortunately for motorcycle enthusiasts – this often means bikes get tucked away into the garage until a warmer day. Spring has arrived which means bike season can begin. So it’s time to dust of the cobwebs and reunite with your long lost friend.

Before you hit the highway, there a few key precautions you should exercise before your ride.

  • Inspect your oil – motorcycles that receive an oil change will run the motorcycle more efficiently and use less gas. It will also help prevent the engine from overheating.
  • Visually check your brake pads – if your brake pads are less than 3mm in thickness, they should be replaced. Insufficient pads can lead to damaged rotors, which can result in costly repairs or failed brakes. During this inspection, it is important to check the brake fluid level as well.
  • Install a newly charged battery – you will want to start the new season with a freshly-charged battery. Often times if the battery remains installed in your bike throughout the winter, it most likely has lost its charged and will need recharged or replaced.

Following these simple items will help lead to a safe and enjoyable riding season. McFall Insurance Company works to provide all of our motorcycle customers with the helpful information to remain as safe as possible on the road.
